Jessy Blakemore is one of the UK’s most exciting new alt-pop voices, pairing vulnerable, soulful lyricism with intricate guitar melodies that draw comparisons to Cleo Sol and Dijon.

Born in Reading to Zimbabwean and British parents, the 25-year-old singer-songwriter first made her mark online with stripped-back covers and originals, amassing millions of views and a rapidly growing following.

Her breakout single “shiloh type beat” caught the attention of US rapper Russ, who sampled it for their collaborative track “Recognize (feat. Jessy Blakemore)”- a release he has since played live across his sold-out North American tour. Jessy has continued to build momentum with singles like “fone sex”, showcasing her raw storytelling and emotional transparency, qualities she credits to inspirations such as Lauryn Hill’s MTV Unplugged, Frank Ocean, and Amy Winehouse.

With co-signs from Billie Eilish, Central Cee, Stormzy and Dave, as well as live performances alongside SZA at BST Hyde Park and sets at Cross The Tracks and The Great Escape, Jessy Blakemore is carving her path as a stunning new voice in the alt-pop underground.
